Viggle Adds Millions Of Digital Rewards With Acquisition Of Choose Digital

The Viggle brand promise has always been about rewarding our members for enjoying entertainment.  We started by allowing our members to earn points for watching TV. Those points could be redeemed in our rewards catalog for discounts and offers from major brands, gifts cards, discounted merchandise and even Viggle branded gear. Late last year we expanded to music, providing points for using Viggle to identify songs and for purchasing digital music. Most recently we began rewarding Viggle members for watching videos online at our own celebrity news and entertainment property, Wetpaint.

We asked ourselves, “what if members could actually get entertainment content as a reward for watching TV, listening to music and even watching content on the web?”  What if entertainment rewards were just that, entertainment? Last month we made a major enhancement to our rewards catalog and to the overall Viggle platform when we added millions of songs, albums and box sets available for digital download when we launched the Viggle Store on the web. With this move, our members can listen to music and watch TV, earn points and redeem those points for free music downloads.  But why stop there?  With so many consumers getting entertainment content digitally these days, it made sense to allow our members to redeem for more digital content. Why not offer TV shows, movies and audio books in addition to music?  That’s what we are doing. Now our members will be able to get the entertainment content they love just by doing what they already do, watching TV, listening to music and watching videos online.

Today we announced that we have agreed to acquire Choose Digital, a digital marketplace platform that allows companies to incorporate digital content into existing rewards and loyalty programs in support of marketing and sales initiatives. Choose Digital already powers the initial version of the Viggle Store.  As the world’s leading entertainment marketing and rewards platform and the only company to hold a patent for rewarding people for engaging in entertainment content, we plan to lead the way in offering innovative digital offers for leading rewards and loyalty platforms and build on the great work the Choose Digital team has done to date.
